You are more likely to become a top Hollywood actor or popstar than profitable trader

Fair points though I never intended to offer cash in exchange for seeing account statements, and I keep it that way.

So it's very clear, Ghost would need to show a 7 year track record with a geometric average of at least 20% annualized per year after omitting all withdrawals and deposits. Risking to state the obvious, only day trades are included in the return calculation (Ghost can chose a time zone on which the 24 hour time frame is based within which trades need to be opened and closed). More details later, given he agrees.

Obviously, when going through an Escrow service I would require a copy of his ID plus broker statements with his name on it. He will get the same ID of mine and my own broker statements showing that I most likely beat his track record (a freebie, and I would be surprised if he had a better record than I had, though my trades are almost all longer-term trades).

Very entertaining thread. In all fairness, asiaprop didn't say he'd bet money. He said:

"I take that risk, PM me, I even pay for your first class airline ticket and hotel to the city in Asia I live. You made the offer, I publicly invite you.

P.S.: This offer applies to anyone with a 20%+ annual return track record over 10 years who wants to take a free vacation in one of the coolest cities in the world."is

So maybe the simplest thing to do is this:

asiaprop, calculate how much a first-class airline ticket and hotel in Asia would cost, and put the money in an escrow account (www.escrow.com) in care of a third party like Baron the moderator.

Ghost, send asiaprop and Baron the statements (make sure you blot out any private info with a black marker)

If the statements are legit, and asiaprop's conditions are fulfilled, the money is released to Ghost. If not, the money goes back to asiaprop.

And if Ghost wins, he can always use the money to go visit asiaprop!

I never said I bet any money. I said "please read carefully what I offered", i detailed everything in the post right above the one you cited. Please do not expect anyone to bid money for your track record, how much cheaper can you get?

why don't you repeat your post instead of repeating that u have previously posted. what are the stakes?

What is even more funny is that asiaprick, when confronted with someone that will take him on, keeps adding additional terms and restrictions because he realizes he is going to lose...

first, he implies he is going to bet money (sorry, but saying you are going to "bet alot" to any normal, sane person, implies that you are going to "bet alot [of money])

... then he starts adding additional restrictions of saying it must be intraday trades only....

blah blah blah

next restriction is going to be that anyone taking on his bet must have only traded asian propeller making companies...

It's obvious to everyone reading this thread that you were called out and when it came down to it, you were too much of a pansy to stand by your bet...

what a loser

you have an issue with me and that is fine, I dont mind in the slightest.

But dont make up lies:

1) I never implied I bet money, actually, in a post right before I said "I bet a lot" I precisely mentioned that I am happy to pay for such person's first class ticket and hotel to an asian city. Which part of that was not clear to you? -> a lie of yours!!!
2) I never changed any terms or conditions: I specified the details of how the returns are to be calculated, all of which are industry standard and/or very logical regarding the context of the bet. -> Another lie of yours.

Its ok you dislike my cocky attitude, you would also hate me if I told you that I regularly bought your margin calls. So what. But I suggest you stick to the truth, or is the only way you can attack me by twisting facts and the truth?

Send me your name, address and telephone number and I'll get in touch with ya.

But there is a few conditions you'll need to consider.

First, you're the one who said no daytraders make money. So why must I take the burden of trouble to prove myself?

Hence, if I do come out to your locale, I will need to be financially compensated for the missing income from not trading throughout the entire period of so-called "vacation". That will be $15,000 per day. (I'm being generous here.) In addition, you will need to pay for my entire family.

Second, if daytraders cannot make money whereas position traders can, that implies that position traders are better traders than day traders. Hence I propose another deal with you.

Let's have a little trading contest between a day trader, namely me, and a position trader, namely you. We will create a custodian account (minimum of $50K) that will be managed by a third party. Whoever makes more at the end of stipulated time takes the entire booty.

Now carefully consider my proposals and get back to me if you're truly interested. Personally, I think you and just about 90% of position traders around here are full of shit.

90% is quite generous towards ET posters. Does that include the nonexistent $15000 income/day?
