Cult follower? He's one of the few people that ever contributed something worthwhile to ET. Because of his posts and ideas I was able to come up with my own ideas and greatly improve my trading. Funny enough it was as simple as the moon thread that did it. It was my non-stop study of the markets that took it the rest of the way.

Here's an example.

I knew with good certainty that CIT was going to go bankrupt a month in advance. Typical TA doesn't 'announce' it like other PA methods do.

Whoa...not so fast....I 'll tell you what you can do...you can PM me in complete confidence (on my son's head) with your trading 'edge' or what you think works....Ideally, it should include any money management and capital base information necessary...

I will bet you that I can both reverse (counter trade) and use your model to make it profitable....if I fail to make it profitable...you can lamblast me all over this site , if you choose...bearing in mind ,of course ,it is your system.

Give the OP a break.

1. Stops. If you're taking a static dataset, most "technical systems" under-perform using stops. Meaning, "no-stops" work better under a backtesting environment where you're dealing within a static range of market condition provided by the dataset.

Stops are useful if you consider that the markets change. Saying stops are worthless, entirely, is very naive from my point of view.

2. TZ... what's your point of asking for verification? Why don't you start off with posting yours and the OP may follow. You're equally guilty of crudentials as much as anyone in here. (What I mean is we should all be skeptical and critisizing the context of their post... rather than flaming and asking for real life verification... there's no point...)

Seriously, TZ... You've been here long enough... you should know better.

3. OP. It's great that you're trying to teach people, but you've got every reason to be critisized. Going around claiming things just based on "I know it works", "You have no idea" or "It works for me" doesn't do any good. You need to be more logical and provide more clarity over what you mention.

Seriously, there is not way you can transfer a feel and thought process to another person. If you say you can, then....

Do you have a GF? A wife? Mom / Dad? Kids? Take anyone out of your life that you care about, and make ME feel the same like you do, by posting on another thread. Obviously, there's a limit.

The OP is being drawn into a pissing contest, and that is how a thread eventually gets shut down.

While heavy-handed critics may (or may not) have had good intentions, they are after all acting as self-appointed/ anointed "mind-guardians".

The real question is whether you want to be protected - by them and in that way - or whether you will self-select your information flow using your own Ignore option as you see fit.

I vote for the latter.

which part of people don't hand over their edge to others on ET was hard to understand?

Show me where people on ET regularly do this. Not seeking those from others nor planning to send mine to others, but I think I already made that relatively clear.

This thread is about someone making self claims and instead of proving his TA love, trying to change the subject to someone else. And get

To m, he is an anonymous, self-deceived claimant without foundation. I asked him to back up his claim, and he continues punting.

I didn't start a thread acting like I can get others to become great traders. Yoohoo did. That is the singular issue here.

Most of this is not based in reality. If you want to comment, then you need to read the posts accurately. You strung together assumptions and guesses and missed the main point.

I have been very accurate and continued so across most all threads. what you are describing is not what I have said at all.

HI TSG, First of all the OP WILL post real trades once TZ posts one trade.

Second, I have paid it forward on ET and not tried to transfer a feeling lol. Detailed set ups and lots of how-to have been given but on this thread I was showing how a trader can develop a structure to help them to come up with their own method.

I believe I have given a lot more information on set ups that work and how to read the market than you have in your thread so I think your comments are unfounded but nonetheless well intentioned and constructive.

TZ, you post so many posts in so many threads but you say it takes 10,000 hours screen time to make it. You have shown zero screen time is available to you and I don't even believe you have a real time ES feed.

All you have been asked to do is show what you know works and that is what this thread is about. Instead you continue with it's not here, it's not there, it's not anywhere.

I knew you'd buckle at the thought of posting one live trade because you can't. It's not you won't. It's clear you can't.

Now's your chance to make a positive contribution and show you can offer real insight and help to traders. More than that, you can show all of ET that when I follow your example that TA doesn't work.

That way you show you're not sitting in a bedroom with a delayed feed and mum bring you cupcakes and coffee while you spend ages reading umpteen threads and posting like a nutter pretending you have something to offer.

It's simple: put up or shut up. Pay it forward or do the chicken run. Come on TZ... ONE TRADE!
