I'll be more impressed when it's the same trader over and over, otherwise it's just randomness.
That's exactly the main message of the author.
I'm more excited about the FIRE crowd showing how they can retire from a relatively high-paying corporate job at 35 by living like misers and making 12% yearly on their SPY holdings...as if the last 12 years haven't been a raging bull and as if we're not still near the top of 40+ year old bull cycles in stocks/bonds that won't last forever.

I think it works when we have only one life to live. Based on their, ideology, yet, if it's more than that, then it is not going to work.
