YM Traders

At the risk of going off topic, I will say that SC has the tools to get ahead quickly and put real pressure on Texas. If that should happen I would guess we will see a game similar to last year's game against Oklahoma (55-12?)

Texas is toast... I know it..

Texas toast ain't for supper tonight...........Ripley...........you are wrong.......I never said 10,000 hours on YM......only picked up YM year ago.........Most was done o n ES.......a huge amount on nq.......and now a huge amt on YM..........If you can trade one u should be able to trade the other.........as far as understanding what is happening which in my cas e the system shows the same on all 3..........and all time frames......tha t is what is called a robust system and it is that extremely so.........I guess I shouldn't have said leave the YM ..........just gouging the guys who left a little which is mean......I really am sorry for that......

MHASE.........HOPE YOU ALWAYS DO WELL IN EVERHYTHING YOU DO..............TONIGHT WE WILL WIN AND TEXAS WILL FINALLY SHOW WHO PRODUCES THE REAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS ....WE HAVE ALREADY SHOWN WHO PRODUCES THE REAL TRADERS WITH YOU, VOL, AND ME.........JUST KIDDING RIP.......VINCE IS THE MAGIC MAN.........CLASS ACT...

Wish TX would win but I am afraid it will be the other way around. Be careful shorting ES, NQ and YM tape indicates higher prices. I'm in NQ and ES for MRC

Hmm. I wonder how expensive those premiums will be in comparison to standard protective stops. Please keep us apprised of your progress.

Stops are very expensive insurance policies where premium is paid out only when the event that the policy was written for occurs. In this case the event did not trigger, hence the premium was not paid. I've learned for my trading system, it's cheaper to use discretionary stops and actually *wait* till the price bar closes *above* my stop before paying out. Also I set my stops far away enough, otherwise, in the long run, all I'm going to be doing is paying insurance premium instead of cashing in on the trade. I use hard stops overnight (when not trading other overnight markets) or when I feel the market is moving too fast. This year I plan to learn more about options so I can hedge my trades with options and completely eliminate stops. That way I can initiate larger swing positions without worrying about the midnight B.S. or random price spikes caused by scared money.

Exited 2/3 of the posted position @ average 10923. Ave. -18.

I seem to be the master of getting my stops hit to the tee before big reversals, but I never move them if it gets close. With futures it is way to easy to just put the trade back on if you get hit on a spike versus risking not having a hard stop and letting your emotion control your loss.

but then re-entering a trade right after you get stopped out you also risk a 2nd losing trade on the same leg fighting the trend..... no?

you would be better off just letting the trade run and widening the stop???

Well, it looks like you should have waited overnight. YM is currently below 10900...

On my MRC scoreboard the shorts are leading by 2:1...
