Ok, well I am not feeling all that great, but when I read that Coolweb is talking trash to someone else about trading small, then I sort of have to step in..

You see CW, I mentioned this to you as well. You were boasting about your success and then you made the mistake of posting your trade. You were putting on 300, 200, and 100 shares at a time. So whatever the disease Porgie has, you have it as well.

You analysis is correct, it is about confidence, but then what. Why not confidence? I would guess it is because neither of you backtested your systems. What this tells me is that you like to be in the game, but do not like to do your homework.

Frankly, I don't see much difference between you guys. One of you talks trash almost all the time, the other does not, but in the end neither of you have an edge, and it shows.

Porgie, I would love to come to your defense but you gotta give me something to work with

CoolW, you have potential, but you are lazy, and in this business it is a matter of time. Doesnt have anything to do with me, it is just one of the laws of the jungle, the markets will eventually take you out, because you think you can get by on talent.

So what I would say in closing is this

"Is it that important to post here and put on an act? Wouldn't it be smarter to go do the work to find a tradeable edge, and then come back and show us what you can really do if you want to?

I would say also that it is possible to fool a lot of people on this site. Most don't know which end is up. But is that much of an accomplishment, really? Only you guys know if it is worth it to continue....I hope you get it right in the new year.

Agree with your comments steve. Does it materr who is better than who?.Because trading is an uncertain game of probabilities filled with uncertain vagaries, an overly inflated ego or a fragile ego can easily get smashed. Defending the ego uses up unnecessary energy, distorts perception, and sooner or later, will destroy you and your trading..

what "accumulating" means when trading stocks do you.
Lets not talk about something you don't trade.

Man, that really shows your ignorance in stock trading really.

Here I'll school you since I seem to think you have no idea outside of the futures world + I am mr substance so I need to put in some substance :)

In stock trading, you never want to show size espically with a specialist. Even in futures a player will accumalate in 20-30 lots over 15 minutes before printing a 100 lot.

It has nothing to do with me takin 100-200-300 share lots, I just take whatever is on the ask or bid If I'm entering, I don't want people to know I'm entering espically when trading the way I do. Cents spreads means a lot. Specalists gaming daytraders is not a sport I want to be playing in.

Yes, you bring up a good point. One that is worth mentioning again.

Defending your self-image (what you have called ego) takes a lot of effort IF your self image is not really you. If what you are defending is an act, then most of your energy is devoted to maintaining your fake personality, and what is left isn't enough to carry on with the business of living. Sooner or later one of two things happens. Either someone sees thought the act, or you get overtaken by events. Usually those events take the form of life's challenges, and those challenges do not give a shit whether you are good at trading or not.

The internet is a place where people can enjoy anonymity. If we want we can present ourselves in a way that is substantially different from our true self. It is like going to a good restaurant, in that one can order any entre, a great bottle of wine and desert. No one will ask if we have the money to pay. Then at the end of the evening, the check comes to the table and we find ourselves having to "pay for the meal".

In general, I find that people are willing to order the meal oblivious to the fact that eventually a check is coming. In fact, they will often hang on to that fantasy of wealth and success right up to the point where they have not a single cent in their account. Even then they find some reason to avoid the central issue.

Well in the end, I am clearly not the "mental health police".

Girls do not.

Are you a girl who is afraid of a little competition?
Men are not afraid of competiton, we thrive in it.

You are correct in one thing though:

Defending the ego requires real hardcore backup.

Real knowledge.
Real money.
Real skills.

Anybody can see through a fake,
You can not fake success
You can not fake trading mindset on how a trade develops.
You can not fake profitable trading methodlogies.

You can not fake real time trades.

Sorry , coolweb can not fake his skills :D


You may think I'm just talking blah but, I am benefiting hugely from everything I say on this board unlike other people who just throw personal insults, I talk about a lot of EXPERIENCE and it makes me think of new ideas while throwing insults as a side gift :D

I do understand. This is my business. Has been for more than a decade.

In fact, when you trade 300, 200 and 100 shares, you are showing something to the market. You are showing that you are "small time". You are giving up an edge right there. If I see you coming in with small size when you have an opportunity I know you are "retail" and not professional. I know that if I want you I have you. If I need to get you to buy I can do it by the way I offer, If I want you flush you out I can do that too. You are mine.

I don't mind the pretence, It is kind of cute, but really when we get down to it. You are a small time retail trader without an edge, and that is all you will ever be UNLESS you decide to exercise your talents and get a winning game.

You can go on with that trash with others, and for a time I will put up with it here as well, but in the end, you have to realize that there is a big world out there, and some of us have been here, done that, and have the T-shirt.

Hey, don't change a thing on my account. Please go right ahead with your rap. My comment is actually directed at those who look at you and wonder what the hell you are doing. Now I trust they have a better idea, and can choose their own path.

Edge, volume, times of day, news, anticipation, mind bias, impatience, ..........all words that I never think about because I culled them all ..............emini trading intraday is only for the miniscule number of traders who are willing to work for it.........no matter how long stock traders have worked, it won't help them emini trading ....all that knowledge is a disadvantage............wrong mindset.....guessing won't work emini's for long..........these forums are just for grins....Steve, I wouldn't give anybody here anything......to work with.....I try to stay away from personal attacks and will continue to do so.......thanks anyway, but why do you care to defend me ........I am just playing the forum game.......but when I say systems are phenomenal, it is not an edge, it is a huge advantage.all day every trading day...........I came here to help no one because I wouldn't trust anyone on any forum. I just love to watch the fur fly knowing it is not real stuff.........
