i've been watching this board for 10 weeks are so. started trading futures maybe 5 months ago to compliment my stock trading. i've dabled in and out of futures for a few years with limited success. when i started really concnetrating on these 3 or 4 months ago i was somewhat skeptical about really making any good money in these. overall my skepticism has been proved right. i've bene follwoing the board and just as i suspected the calls on here have been radom with sketchy success at best. you'll seem someone like blackguard come on here bragging he did this and that them enver see him again. volente had excellent calls for a while but the well has run dry. my theory from a few years ago was right VERY VERY VERY FEW HAVE A CHANCE AT MAKING A LIVING DOING FUTURES. think about the odds making it with 5 10 or even 15k. you're asking yourself to do 300% a year to make 50k off your base. if one could do that every year they're a star that all funds would kill to have. my success as been fair at best but my stock traded suffered becasue of trading the futures all the time so its time for me to go 90% back to stock trading and jsut trade the counter mega moves. to be honest i've done well on 1 to 5 day holds and not well on in out in out. good luck to all. I mentioned this 10760 area on Friday. The rejection from that was quite severe imo. if you are short, stay short as long as price does not break above 10760, this puppy is about to be deflated some. Probably one of the better short position trade setups to date.

I'm seeing some rumors on possible GM bankruptcy. Well if you were a devious market manipulator, what better time to initiate your programs to sell-off and lock in profits. Then turn on CNBC end-of-day and watch the talking heads wring their hands and mention every other minute how GM's possibility of bankruptcy pulled the DOW down x points.

People fail to remember that 10% is 10 %. 10 ym's is 500k+ of dow and 10% is 50 k a year. Now bump it up to 20 % and you are making 6 figures.
Just because you trade a small account does not mean you can't grow it with a little work and a lot of discipline. Good luck to you Joe.
system must be same on all 3 market modes to be the system................range.........whipsaw..........trend.........system should filter out all things but entry signals and exits.....most of all must have trader filter.........unless u r discretionary trader as volente is .......I believe he is a trustworthy man.......and wish him all the best....volente trade with the trend......please neighbor and friend.........when i see u call countertrend stuff early in the run when trend is dead streaming against u, i feel very sad...your 57 sell today was closer to correct..counter trend trading is addictive....hard habit to break.....the trend is our best friend........... should have made a lot of money on that one ...wonderful........
