I should qualify what I said about stops on IB servers. This is the case if you use TWS for order entry. Of course third party applications using the API can do what they please, but it would be pretty stupid for an application to replicate on the PC functionality that is provided by order types implemented by IB servers.

I have an account with IB do you know if Trademaven will work with IB? Also is the real version more maneuervable than the sim seems hard to get my settings im looking for.

I sent the CBOT an email over a year ago
suggesting they consider keeping up with their competition(CME) and opening earlier.
Their reply indicated they are not even considering it.
 
so if you have a postion on the ym's and it goes your way and then the market reverses by 8:15 eastern you're screwed. its like front month optiuons on a stock. lets say you ahve puts and it crashes. they won't open the puts for 30 minutes and by that time a big bounce is happening

Quit hammering the idea that you are helping anyone see anything when you haven't accomplished anything trading........when you make money consistently for a few months, then you can be credible.....the remarks I make are out of sympathy because I have been where you are...it hurts to see your enthusiasm knowing the reality of intraday trading...............it is wonderful to be fired up and so anxious to trade..............but it is dangerous for your account....if you are all you say, then God bless you.....I can tell you most here only want what will benefit them...not you.........can you survive in this business? It is up to you only.......determination, confidence, and honesty with yourself will be a good foundation for success.....I am not a liar but am certainly an idiot....just a little mean maybe.....old, yes...jealous??? not a chance......Happy Trading..
