lately nothing is what it seems, gold rising with the dollar. The old metrics don't provide much usefully information anymore. Greenspan and these Republicans have this country, teetering on the ropes. The government has become the market maker in all financial markets, just like a communist country.

Any YM traders care to tell me why in the last week the spread has moved from 10 points back to 20 between ym and the index ?

Well we are sure near the top of the range for the last seven months. I have a feeling these investment banks are going to support the markets till year end. You know darn good and well they are going to go out with at least 5% gains for the indexes. The got to beat the fixed income crowd, their yields are near 4%
