this thread is dead............goodbye and turn out the lights...JM and Volente 00.....$5/per point and it bucks them off.......always.....#5/per pt is about as dangerous as buying a lotto ticket wth the same results...U LOSE... ............................as usual they move to the next market with same stuff.............by the hundreds of thousands.......maybe millions....looking for the crutches that are found in the box.........once in a while they close and seal the lid on the box and smother all inside, which is 98% of everybody trading this intraday emini's stuff and they get smothered....in their next trader life all come out of the box as grasshoppers, just like they went in their previous grasshopper lives...thinking I will talk to other traders and learn a lot......Not going to happen on these forums..............remember Kung Fu.........they start the process all over again........I did that for 5 years this coming January.....die and start again.....back to beginning and start again..It's a sick feeling to realize u don't know crap worth knowing after a few years of studying the same thing.....then u either get lucky or see the light.....or both...... ..

How would we analyze this price action. Is the DJIA signalling further downside and supply in stocks or COMPQ signalling impending demand. Someone thinks Tech is cheap here because the price gapped up on Fri above Thu close and stayed above showing demand. The price action Mon. should answer the question as to which is the leader. I've recently incorporated a bias metrics to my trading where I take trades intraday based only in the direction of the bias. Right now the Weekly is oversold, Daily is overbought and 60 min is neutral. So I'll be on the sidelines on Mon.
Porgie, if you are scared of sharks and stay on the beach all day long you will never learn to swim. It is not bragging if you can do it. I have met some really good traders as a result from this thread, I even found an old friend who I had not spoken to in years from this thread. One will never make it in trading being a pessimist. Close minded makes you resistant to change. Why do you direct all of your bitterness towards others ? You get what you give in this world. GOD has given everyone a unique gift. It is up to you to find it and when you do, share it with others and you shall be rewarded in the end.
I guess the stroke made me mean.....vol, you are no doubt a good guy and know what u r doing...If u get a situation where you don't u will get it right, no doubt........Best to you always.....a system developer becomes a weaker and weaker trader due to too much useless stuff upstairs...My family tells me I am mean someitmes but they still love me dearly, and that is most important in life for me......I have my brother and daughter trading the system for me and I am sometimes mean with them..they have to experience things like all others ...but , trust me, the system is what i say it is, and I am a weak trader, they are not...............Make a pile of money forever and I will be happy for you ....
As I said before I read some good words from you.
April this year was my 5th year as a private future day-trader. From day 1 I knew no one would teach me the "tricks" in a public forum, over 10000 screen hours was the ladder to reach my today's level. No doubt ET is one of the useful sources in my painful self taught process. I do not know if i am in the 2% club or not, even i am now, without constant learning i could be kick out of it. My nickname is my positive warning to me.
Give the others some encouragement as we all went through the painful learning road......porgie.
My best system is myself. It is not easy of being a day-trader. The losers feed me but there are so many winner better than me.

I too went thru the huge sacrifice toward finding the answer for me..........as far as helping others, I am a poor man today because of helping others and other private reasons.........and very happy that I was able to give to others........giving my system to the public can't happen because if I did the trading world would feel the effect.....that has been proven real time for long enough to say that without reservation....it is a pure mechanical system that works over 95% for money and the rest for BE or slightly worse....filtering all fakeouts...for instance, every day last week was a beautiful day for the system..........every day......
The reason I even mention the system is to encourage others to seek the same knowing it can be done.......not to brag...The ego was booted out of my office a long time ago.....The system has just begun to pay off after years of study...and I don't mean paper trading..........I got a few good ideas from dbphoenix......on ET......the rest from hard work.
The worst thing about the forums is when I tell someone like JM don't jump quickly, or trade 1 contract initially, or demo trade @ first, or what qualifies someone who has never traded to talk about helping others and so forth when if others follow them anytime soon they too will lose their money..Just like I have done many times....too many.............it's a fact........follow a new trader and u will lose money.........emini's........intraday.....
The worst thing is those kind of remarks intended to help a young man based on my real experiences are always followed by personal attacks such as liar, and loser remarks...do I forgive him, and them, yes.........If I call a trade as they taunt me to do, what if I cause them to lose their money?.......it can happen.............I tell them to move away from short time frame charts and I get attacked again....scalping the emini's with short charts is for the very few, and the gamblers......... ............ .should I hand my hard earned system to them...............???? If they need help,, I will help any way I can, but not by giving the system away or selling it...end of story...........Keep learning and thanks for kind words.......

progie... Thanks a lot for posting. I enjoy reading your posts and they are informative.
Just couple of questions:
1) Does your mechanical system only trade the YM? or other markets?
2) If you despise short time frame charts, what kind of charts do you trade off of?
3) What do you think is the most useful indicator?
