YM not moving?

Absolutely nothing on the buy side. First time I've ever seen this.

Granted I haven't been trading long but this is unreal.

Should I stay away today?

Mate its called being limit down all the indexes are. Look at the offers in the S&P mini about 8k at the mo. Today will be very tricky stay out and watch the action if out are a new trader. Massive dislocations across the currencies and the equities with oil and the softs tanking on top of that.

CNN-Money: "Futures trading limits were imposed before 7 a.m. ET, when Dow Jones industrial average futures were down 548 points."

I don't mean to come across as arrogant or condescending, but if you didn't know they were limit down.

You probably should.

Unless you are prepared to cope with possible moves of >5% in a half-hour, standing aside is a good idea.

heres what i just posted in another thread.

to be honest all bets are off this morning. this is setting up to be the most volatile trading session of all time. we could see a total market closure. one of which we have not seen since 911. i expect PPT to operate later in the day and buy up the market. so we might see a "V" type bottom with a positive close on the day.
this is very possible. the last time i saw it was the week after 9/11 when the $SPX bottomed.

expect sheer panic and selling magnitude. Dow may lose over 1,000 points today.

Only professional traders should trade this.

We haven't seen "limit" on the opening since when, '97 or '98?

Maybe this is his "first time", and you should be gentle...

I can see a strong rally potential but wont be involved until I see some pos confirmation and then only small. Today is not the day to be a hero
