For the record, these stimulus payments do not go to every American. However, the proposed stimulus is somewhere between 200 and 400 billion depending on if these payments are a full $2000 or $1400 to make the last $600 stimulus reach $2000.

You're missing the point of the OP. Why do we need a 2 trillion dollar package to deliver a few hundred billion in stimulus checks? BTW, I support sending these checks to people in need. I support financial assistance for businesses that have been restricted or closed. That doesn't take 2 trillion though. Not even close.

Democrats also support things like state and local funding, more federal involvement in vaccine roll out, Biden also has ambitious of opening every school within 100 days, and of course democrats like to use the government for things like investing in clean energy etc.

We will find out today what Biden’s ambitions are with this. I’d like to see direct investments though, not just money handouts.

I do not have much of an issue with any of what you listed, but I would like to see a line item breakdown of every single dollar being spent, and we're long past overdue a presidential line item veto being put in place.
