The actual reality is that I expect that many people in this forum are actively engaged in supporting their candidates with both time and money. The same interest that drives their participation in the Politics forum also drives their support for particular candidates --- hopefully helping better candidates to thrive.

And why do so few "good people" step up and run for office? Because they don't want to endure the media shit storm, that's why. The very judgmental eye of the media, now exposed to have more shit in their game than damn near everyone else. What's coming home to roost is the self serving and myopic attitude of the media. The we can make or break you power that has gone to their heads. They have abused the special privileges given to them to such great degree that they are no longer a creditable source for giving any unbiased or thoughtful opinion. They are in no position to be judging anyone. They are as bad, worse than the Catholic church, or any bible thumping holier than thou republican fire breather. Staying silent, providing cover, making excuses for the behavior of their own. No sane person will subject themselves to this type of treatment, especially considering the source of the people providing the critique. They are rotten to the core, the whole fucking lot of them.

We are better and smarter than you and know what's better for you. In addition we know how to spend your money for you better than you could do yourselves. For example, we could use your tax dollars to pay off bimbo eruptions that are getting in the way of us doing our great work.

The news corporations are for profit businesses that are responsible to shareholders. They respond to the consumer and they reach an equilibrium with the consumer like the market's feedback.

There are a few good politicians in both parties. We just don't know who they are because they can't draw our attention anymore as we get bored.

Political forums such as this can become physically addictive as much as a computer game. What was the saying? The only way to win is not to play.

Maybe Bannon is correct though. Perhaps America should have a massive collapse of order before 2030 and the geriatric Boomer generation's needs cripple the economy. The country would continue but white people have to bow and scrape to the Chinese.

Let the weaker elderly Boomers die off by the millions in the chaos and let the young get another good 50 years. I'd rather not but if it going to happen, why not embrace it.

NBC is expected to pay out well over $100 Milion for the Lauer claims according to most legal analysts.

NBC did not only condone Lauer’s activity but physically set up a rape lair where Lauer would sexually assault his co-workers till they passed out, and then would send other employees to cart his victims out of the lair.

This goes far beyond the claims about O’Reilly at FOX.
