Yet another fraud: $1.3 Billion, 2 arrested

Quote from stock777:

Yes, well. I've been calling them hedge fund scum for many moons. Why would you leave your money with scum?

Yep. Turn the light on, more roaches scattered.

These guys are scumbags, but just small fry. In fact, Bernie Madoff was small fry. The big crooks are still in charge, whether it be on Wall Street or in their new digs in DC. A couple were forced into retirement, but they're yucking it up from their mansions in Palm Beach, Aspen, and Nantucket.

Quote from WallstYouth:

Don't hate the game hate the players. Hedge fund investors are rich and technically *CAN* afford to loose money its why they are allowed to invest with hedge funds. If a client can't do enough do diligence to know if a fund is scamming him or not then he shouldn't be investing his cash in these high risk / high reward businesses.

Big fucking deal life moves on.

Yes hate the game. The system is flawed.

By the way, what the fuck is Do Diligence? Learn some grammar you uneducated prick.

No matter how active the SEC gets, they will probaby never go after the real crimes that are being committed. Only when the securities industry band together to clobber a miscreant like Bear Stearns is any kind of justice done.

I know most of you are way smarter than me, so I'm hoping you can help.

Quote from TraderZones:

the more I see of these stories, the more I will NEVER let anyone else "manage" my money. Give me several futures brokers (with segregated funds) and let me do my own.

Imagine, that people who just put their money in a week ago, may never see their money again. That is also why I will not trade forex. Segregate funds; boy. No bankruptcy making my money disappear.

lol, what money would that be?

I guess its just the tip of the iceberg that will get caught for fraud.
And really many would have planned for that possibility by hiding piles of money offshore - the Swiss for instance are happy to oblige anyone with enough dough upfront.

A calculated gamble by some because its only a few comfortable years in jail and that won't scare anyone.

I think hanging is a bit on the rough side but a good public flogging and taking all their assets, barring $500 and the clothes they stand up in would concentrate minds a wee bit imho
