Yes. Kamala Harris is a DEI candidate.

8 of the last 16 years. And trump removed all the republicans too. Trump hated Obama. He supported Hillary in 2008.

he only became a republican when he ran in like 2015 or so. And I believe he could craft a message that resonated with enough republicans.

Pretty good for a private citizen w/ no formal political experience, huh? Meanwhile career politicians can't seem to keep their existing machinery in order. N V T S... nuts!

I don't like the identity politics and the pigeonholing. There's no shortage of minorities who are Republicans. The Dems are great at dividing the country based on identity, that's the very problem.

That's exactly why their favorite tactic is so insidious, the sentiment is sweet but no one will be better off waiting for a wealth transfer and I'll refer you back to Thatcher's statement in that regard.

"he would rather that the poor were poorer, provided that the rich were less rich"

The extremely wealthy people in this country (Montenego) are generally Democrats and for good reason... they're the ones that benefit the most from those policies.

the democrats who are rich do it for social reasons. They want equality for all.

It’s MAGA that plays identity politics. They identify with rural populations. They are Christian and white.

“rapists and murderers”
“Posioning our blood”

it’s impressive what he’s done. But then again Voldemort did great things. And so did saddam Hussein.

I told you... politicians are crooks. You need to fight fire w/ fire. These comparisons are only valid in your imagination. Esp. the one regarding Voldemort, lol.

They could do this w/ NGOs far more easily. Don't be so naive and contrived in your thinking. Oligarchs don't want equality for all... they want forever increasing power.

difference between oligarch like the Koch’s and a bunch of tech execs who are immigrants from India.

i think trump is as politician as politicians.

He’s an outsider in the worst ways (didn’t know how to get things done) and an insider in the worst ways (purely in it for his own ego and enrichment)

Hey, you have every right to feel the way you do and subsequently think what you will because of it (and vice versa). I only want you to be aware that, esp. in politics, things aren't always what they seem.

The ultra MAGA and ultra WOKE both have their problems. I don't think further bickering without time for reflection will get us far.

Hopefully we can agree on that, and mull things over in order to do some modicum of good :fistbump:

It was nice chatting.

we are better than a lot of places. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t strive to be even more fair.

I was told to de-ethnicize my house when I tried to sell it. (Well to do rural community in a red part of a blue state). I was offended. Turned out the only people who could afford the house were immigrant doctors. Realtor (best realtor in the town) didn’t realize this.
You might have been offended, but the data shows your realtor was looking out for your best interest. I don't know what race you are, but there's a lot of evidence that houses perceived to be occupied by black families sell for less. Of course this shouldn't happen, but it's the reality that yes, racism still exists in America. So if you want to be proud of who you are, okay, but there's only financial downside when you do that.
