I object to that... I'm not scared of either candidate. If there were ever a "double hater" it's me.

That being said, what strikes me as awfully peculiar is that Trump actually has 4 years under his belt. Nothing catastrophic happened. Ok, covid... but he can't be blamed for that. I would have preferred he didn't give so much power to Fauci, but w/e.

The biggest legit gripe is probably J6 but I cannot blame Trump for what his supporters did. He literally said "peacefully protest". I don't believe in "dog whistles'; I'm not a dog. But, I understand how that scares Dems. OTOH, most Dems are basically big wussies; let's face it. The other gripe is "mean tweets"... eh, it's just the latest form of political rhetoric. He never "conceded" the election... ok, I understand how that ruffles feathers. Fine. He certainly has rough edges; no argument there.

Harris, however... actually has 0 experience as president. None whatsoever. What I can't wrap my mind around is how does she expect to distance herself from Biden. She's lauding Biden but it's pretty clear his presidency ended in ruin... inflation, wars, general lawlessness in the country, failing mental health. I could go on. He'd be sailing into a 2nd term otherwise. But, the country's been on auto-pilot. Top all this off with what appears to be her doubling down on somewhat far left policies and it shuns me.

So, Newwurldmn, I've had some good discussions w/ you re: options trading in the past, and I certainly respect your thoughtful approach in that regard.

Now I implore you, please, please... do your best, I don't think you'll be able, but convince me that Kamala isn't just a huge gamble and will do a better job (in a position she's never had before).

The evidence is lacking IMHO and, as they say, better the devil you know than one you don't.

your own argument was that trump wasn’t so bad. He had zero political experience. Less than zero in fact. Kamala has had a lot more than that. Trump didn’t know that the whole White House was leaving with Obama (as virtually everyone except the chef is a political appointee).

trump said “fight like hell” on Jan 6 and then waited several hours to say “peaceful protest.”

2021 Inflation wasn’t caused by Biden. It doesn’t happen overnight. It’s the culmination of money supply over years. The last guy who could have solved it (the one who could have sold the top) was trump. He opted to goose the stock market instead (this was in 2018). And Covid of course had a significant hand with a change of demand character and pent up need to spend savings when the economy opened up.

you don’t know trump. He says one thing and does another and then lies about what he said or what he did or both. The fact that America didn’t suffer under a lack of leadership and such divisiveness tells me that either 1. 4 years is too short to derail the juggernaut that is America, or 2. The president is not that important.

but what is scary is the theories trump has put forth about presidential immunity (in court his lawyers made the argument a president can assasinate a rival or promote a coup), lied about election fraud, and promoted Russia in some very peculiar ways while stating he has personally gotten billions in funding from Russian banks but at the same time won’t release his tax returns.
