Yep, and what do you know, no government shutdown, extended for one week!!

Since I have worked for the federal twice and even did contracting work for them, spent over twenty years working for them, don't come knocking on my door cause over 90% of people I worked with were some of the laziest f*cking people on the planet and I worked in all 50 states, I worked for DOD, border patrol and several other agencies and often you could have bought anything on the open market much less than going through federal government. You need all bureaucracy otherwise I believe in my heart more than most would steal like they owned it. I worked for them so I could keep going to school, learn to trade and started businesses, I worked nights/days weekends in the field in buildings, in airplanes, I work my tail off when I had to and always rather work alone than being with all the lazy overpaid asses there, if it was private sector 90% would be fired.
Only fault I ever did was not complain enough to politicians but they would not never gone against what is right so they lose votes.

When there been "A" players, congress won't play along cause they all know they are on the take in some way like in re-election funds they get to take with them or cushy retirement they make would be at risk.
I think you miss my point. If you have a crap job where you treat everyone like crap, why are you surprised that over time it's mostly lazy people who couldn't get a job anywhere else who end up working there? The prescription for that isn't to cut pay, cut the number of employees but not the amount of work, and make the job even crappier. That will just drive you further down the barrel!

This whole "avoiding a government shutdown" has been going on yearly, for like 15 years now. Why is this news now?
Because it's the first time in 15 years one party has the presidency and control of both houses and still has trouble getting a budget through even the majority rules House!
