Yellen's job puzzle: Why are 20-somethings retiring?

I think that's why Trump may have such a following. There may be this glimmer of hope that he may be the only guy who MIGHT have the balls to stop all this nonsense. Probably not, but we know the others will maintain the status quo.

Exactly. The public woke from their stupor and realized it would be yet another "Bush" vs "Clinton" election and their write in candidate would have been Mickey Mouse, and then Trump showed up out of nowhere and a large segment of the population is perfectly content with sending a big "FU" to the establishment by supporting him over the pre-packaged Bush and Clinton ruling dynasties.

it's naive to think that the wealth gap today isn't caused by the lowest tax rates on the top 10% in modern history

bring back 90% tax rates and we'll see equality again
It's naïve to believe 90% rates were ever paid by anyone - other than the truly infantile not able to use every damn deduction in the code.

Yet you are probably with those against a flat tax - which would do away with all the shenanigans the rich use to avoid paying more.

I prefer they pay more - rather than pay more to their tax accountants and lawyers, if the government spent the additional money more wisely than they spent the current amount.

I also hope for world peace.

We both know though neither will happen.

Middle class screwed. Cronies and leaches doing fine.

Kudos KTM on elegantly stated economic logic. Well done. I wish there was just one parameter that could be adjusted to fix the system, but it just ain't so.
