No Ukraine started off as an independent country but Russia conquered it and took it as its own and then Ukraine regained its independence, back and forth several times throughout history. Last time we checked, Ukraine is again an independent country after the collapse of the USSR until now Russia invaded it and tried to take it for its own again.

I can hardly believe that if anybody would ever want to take you off their blocked list if they ever blocked you but if they did, it's not because you add value to any threads let alone trading-related threads. Ukraine is definetely not independent country with 150 bln aid just last year including 50 bln in lethal aid

and you know what even Germany is not independent country - silently accepting their closest ally blew nord stream and started charging them 5 times what Russia did
