Egypt has created quite the quagmire for themselves. They want to make illicit money from all the bribes officials are paid to ignore the smuggling of weapons, militants and other supplies into Gaza; while at the same time they don't want any of the Palestinians allowed into Egypt from Gaza to escape the chaos they created.

it's unclear if the footage of those bounds was of oct7 captors or Gaza randoms after the counteroffensive. My take is that they are after the counter and intentionally obfuscated given the statements.
