So the UN knew nearly immediately that a good portion of their UNWRA staff members in Gaza were directly involved in the October 7th attack on Israel and are nothing more than Hamas terrorists... but it took months before they fired them.

UN agency fires staff members allegedly involved in October 7 attacks

it couldn't possibly be precipitated by external pressures as opposed to actually looking for the truth:

Thanks for that, but the headlines are very deceptive.
Staff members have not been fired (yet, if at all).

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNWRA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said Israeli authorities provided the agency “with information” alleging several of its employees participated in Hamas’ murderous rampage into southern Israel, when the militant group killed at least 1,200 people and abducted more than 250 others.

An investigation is being launched into the alleged involvement of the employees and those involved will be held accountable “including through criminal prosecution,” added Lazzarini. The commissioner-general said he made the decision in order to protect the agency’s ability to deliver humanitarian aid.

Israeli Foreign Ministry told CNN on Friday that it welcomed the investigation. “It is important that UNRWA conduct a thorough in-house check on the activity of Hamas and other terrorist factors in its ranks in order to ensure the organization’s humanitarian activity is not taken advantage of,” it said.

Finally the Biden administration is cutting off money to the UNRWA which has been directly supporting terrorism. Long overdue.

I can understand why too, Zionist Biden is Israel's lacky puppet, that's been obvious for a long time.
Under the official Israeli policy of "every grain of sand in Gaza is either a human shield or hamas", you can see why Israel would push for a UN human aid agency to be labeled as such having been ordered to let aid through by the ICJ before they genocide everyone.

What are the allegations against UNRWA?
It’s not entirely clear.

U.N. and American officials referred to claims that some UNRWA employees may have been “involved in” the Oct. 7 attacks, but did not elaborate on that involvement or say whether it included any of the worst atrocities committed that day.

The State Department referred to 12 employees being accused and fired — UNRWA did not offer a number — but it is unclear what kind of work they did or how senior they were. It also remains to be seen whether investigations will yield more such allegations.
