UN seeks clarity from senior Israeli officials on order to vacate northern Gaza

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres sought clarity Thursday night from Israeli Ambassador Gilad Erdan after Israel issued an order to vacate northern Gaza within 24 hours, a source familiar with the situation tells CNN.

Israel gave the message to the UN team in Gaza just before midnight local time Thursday, which applied to approximately 1.1 million people, the UN said.

According to the source, Guterres, in at least two phone calls after, asked for clarity regarding how the order could be carried out after the UN said publicly it was "impossible for such a movement to take place without devastating humanitarian consequences."

In a statement after midnight, Ambassador Erdan called the UN's response "shameful" and accused the body of "preaching to Israel."

There is a level of hysteria stoked up among Israelis that had the father* of a child found dead in a kibbutz raid recounting that he was smiling and happy to learn she had been killed and not captured "death was a blessing". This after he said he ran away instead of trying to rescue her afraid if he was killed she would have no parent as her mother had died of cancer years before.

Heinous things have certainly happened but it appears (journalists have explained) that two seperate incidents of violence merged into a story of 40 decapitated babies and who knows what else.

Now they are demanding over a million move with 24 hours notice so they can presumably turn the north of Gaza in to a parking lot. Gaza has a mostly young population, 40 percent children however it's time to stop the vigilante action and their leaders trying to cover their failure with a hyper-violent reaction to be leashed. Many of the thousands already injured won't survive bring moved. Search and rescue is ongoing in rubble.

Think Covid and the Federal and multi-state persecution of Trump, other prominent Republicans, their attorneys, and other supporters. The US apparently sends three billion dollars to Israel annually. Would have thought they would be able to sustain themselves without US charity, but what do I know?

Israel’s reputation and perhaps the reputation of their most rapid supporters may get a black eye if civilian death counts are “Excessive” in the coming invasion. Genocide has multi-generational consequences and technology progression enables ever smaller groups to create an ever greater impact on others. Especially if they get help from other entities. In other words, Israel may be planting the seeds for even worse attacks in the future if they get too draconian in Gaza.
