So is getting yam v2 now vs yam v3 later priced in? Can yam be farmed?
Very good questions, btw.
YAM v2 is only a place holder for YAM v3, and with limitations, as after migration, only 50% are vested, with the other 50% on a vesting process over a 30 day period.
There's no value to YAM v2 only future valuation of the YAM v3 project and not even equal as initially, YAM v2 migrated to YAM v3 will have restrictions, but DeFi being DeFi valuations are out of whacked. Earlier, my YAM v2 bag was worth more than $11K earlier today but I was on the road and could not make a trade so if it gets there again, I'll sell and leave 1 YAM v2 token in the wallet just in case it's needed to get my delegation "bonus" YAM v3 coins.
There is a chance YAM v2 will be listed on sushiswap staking/farming platform, saw a tweet or 2 asking for it on the sushiswap account, but who knows what the possibility of that, but that could provide a price boost to YAM v2 tokens.
There is no farming YAM v2 as the supply is fixed, it will be 1-to-1 conversion to YAM v3.
I would recommend waiting for YAM v3 rather than buying YAM v2 for any observer, but I could be wrong if sushiswap or a related news that gives value to YAM v2 is announced...
