You don't see a bunch of consanguineous white dudes taking over the Capitol as authoritarian? Esp considering the only fraud was perpetrated by Republican voters?

You are characterizing January 6th as a takeover of the US Capitol? Most of those visitors were unarmed. Even calling January 6th a “Takeover”, it did not seem planned on the part of the visitors, as Capitol Police were conspicuously absent for the most part, allowing particularly easy access inside Congress. Besides, prior Democrat protests, using loose definitions of a “Capitol takeover” could be considered equivalent to January 6th. What would be a fair characterization of multiple, simultaneous Leftist led riots throughout the US involving arson, attacks on police, and looting? How should Democrat politicians who supported said Leftist riots through word and deed be characterized? Traitors, perhaps?
Now back to you. I respect you, but think of how you might sound to others who don’t know you and are not excessively invested in a belief system?
1. You are seemingly attempting to use intimidation involving a high end sniper rifle against a class of people who have widely held political beliefs.
2. You apparently live in an exceptionally exclusive neighborhood that does not reflect demographics where most of Democrat political support comes from.
Other than blatant hypocrisy, which side might you think sounds more Nazi-like to a neutral observer?
Now a reminder of who I am. I am still a long term registered Democrat who feels the party no longer stands for the principles which I originally signed up for. FFS, I heavily supported Trump during his term over the other side. Although to be honest, I am not enthusiastic about Trump getting the nomination for 2024.
Bottom line, I don’t see Democrats reforming until they pay a heavy political price for their hypocrisy and unnecessarily divisive ways.
The Left attempting to apply different definitions to types criminality does not paint an accurate picture of reality. Democrats reduce or eliminate bail requirements for felons, reduce classification of serious crimes for their constituents, readily return voting rights ex-felons versus previously established guidelines, and effectively ignore coordinated Leftist riots on a nationwide scale in classifying politically related violence.
Please get the fvck out of your echo chamber and try see who is behind the force dividing the United States.
