Yahoo Finance's new website is now unusable...

They have tried and tried for years to get it right...

They have put in millions and millions with no success...

I am unable to pull up options on their new (free) website...

I would use the site to get an idea where bid/asks were at, for a stock/option. Their site is not working...locked up.

It was fine for general information (corporation and link to the corporation's website).

Sad...They "made it better", but it is now unusable!!!

Good reasons not to trust any one source, even when it ''works'';
including broker bid\ask.
IBKR charts tended to be way low on ETF volume but consistent for swings LOL.
SCHW bid\ ask =ok, but off in a good trend + strangely assumes we want to sell on bid:D:D
Paper candle charts help me a lot, not real time , but easy to correct an error.
Old E-signal intraday charts went down, once, but 20day candles worked + bid\ask-intraday exit .
Usually enter on a limit + exit market......

Matt, I do about 5-10 stock/option trades a month (covered calls/put buy backs). Manual trading...I'm 68+. So much is overkill. I just like to "spy" a stock or option at Yahoo, then go to the broker (Schwab or Fidelity) and make the trade.

Yeah, I'm cheap...Are there any good (free) feeds out there still? Is Marketwatch free still? Google Finance?? Any ideas for free website feeds??

I have no clue what you mean as I don't see anything new at YF.

Everyone loves free stuff. You get what you pay for.

Open a small account ($500) at Firstrade and park the money in SGOV (+5%) and use the site for option quotes.
It's a very plain site with NOTHING fancy but that actually makes it easier to use.
When I want a quick options view, that's where I go.

Yes, that page locks up on me...

Where I sit they created a whole new front page. Next (example), I will click on the Coke (KO) summary page, they have moved everything to different places. I can get use to that...I have to every few years, when they change their website.

Here is the problem. I'll click on the option page of KO. It shows the calls and puts like before. The problem is in their drop down bars for dates and strike prices. They freezes up!! I can't see the prices or the later dates (leaps).

It couldn't be that I am using Firefox. Once a website lets you into via Firefox, the site should run...Correct??

I'll either have to create a new account at Google Finance or Marketwatch. But, I don't think they offer option information for free...

I could just go to Schwab or Fidelity. But I want to look at the option premium of a stock (covered call), before I buy that stock/ETF. Yahoo has been great for general information. Yeah, delayed quotes and unreliable bid/asks...I get it.

Just want to see the whole picture, before I move ahead and buy a stock...
