I got "operation timed out" error when trying to download quotes from Yahoo via HQuote Pro Downloader since New Year. I guess it's the same issue.

Now my HQuote Pro Downloader works fine to download quotes from Yahoo.

I have the same problem. I can no longer get Historial Chart on ^DJI and Dow Transport.

I call stockwatch, and they said:

Yahoo has changed the format of some of their symbols, which are no longer
compatible with our symbols.

This includes some US index symbols and Canadian market symbols.
As a result you are not able to get historical chart data for these symbols
from Yahoo.

Since QuoteTracker is no longer supported, we are working on a fix to allow
you to use Yahoo symbols with our streaming service. This will take some
time to implement and test.

so for the whole year of 2013, I can't even get 1 day of historical on the Dow Industrial and Dow Transport, but I can get the rest, such as S&P 500 historial

and today, none of the real time symbol in quote tracker is moving, although I have seen that before years ago and can't remember what was done to fix it

Can you help?

I can't help as far as getting stuff to work in QT. But we will be implementing StockWatch very soon in Medved Trader beta.

Medved Trader is the QuoteTracker replacement we are working on. It is in beta now. (since we do not own QuoteTracker, we cannot make any changes to it)

switched to 'new' yahoo layout on my yahoo page . now all portfolios does not display total PnL and total % change. any idea how to get it back? the only columns i can see now is price, change and % change of each individual stock in portfolio. not total amount of money in it, not total change,not total % change of portfolio.

did anyone having problems with yahoo lately?

i mean-simple URL request for quotes(or whatever data from yahoo) now takes forever and often times out.
it use to take few seconds to collect EOD data for all US stocks.now each request is a pain in ** ** to get something out of it
