Charts take time to get analyzed and many times a competent chartist can provide his analysis for you from something you were not even aware of.

As far as news, not all news hit the typical wires before twitter and stocktwits, especially rumors or activists decisions.

It does have lot of noise, but once in a while a nice golden nugget shows up, since most chartists lack the skill to draw the right stuff the opportunity is rare, but nevertheless, at the present time, higher than finding it on ET.
