Xmas Rally Has Finished.

Quote from bhardy307:

His sequence 1,2,3,5, is obviously followed by the prime number 7.

Of course, the man would have considerably more credibility if he demonstrated a little humanity, a little humility and lowered himself long enough to actually explain why that particular prime number is significant.

However, given the way he has treated me since he first started typing in this thread, why should I be foolish enough to believe he might actually explain it to us?

Why not 11? Why not 5? What is the significance of Primes in this context?

He "explained' it earlier. The number 7 is PFM. (Pure fucking magic)

... 6 or 8 do not redact as well because 7 is the magic number. At its least largest increment of 7, think about ticks coming in. You have 1,2,3,5. That means that the first ticks and the first contract of the last tick equals the 7 contract bar for that sequence.

The 6 and 8 bars do not perform as well, and it is simply by logic that I understand this. Powers of 7 are obviously the best units to use because any smaller or larger and the chart is not as logical.

I only take entries that agree with my pairs strategy. Right now we are far above a volatility based, overbought level, and my system is long QID so I don't want to go long until that system indicates we have moved all the way to oversold.

So, no, I take both sides, but with this program I only take the entries that agree with my pairs strategy.

And here's the 16807 taking a bunch of heat.

A bollinger band 20, 2?

I don't actually use the BB for my entries or exits. It defaulted back to that when I reinstalled FXCM's trading platform. For some reason I keep losing the news stream that they provide and have reinstalled every couple of weeks.

... settings left over from some time ago when I was experimenting.

In so many words.
Nothing personal pal and I am serious about that, who knows I might even enjoy having an adult beverage with you.
But after your explanation/rationalization for putting undo significance on an arbitrary number like 7. I can no longer even entertain the notion of taking any of your trading comments seriously.

Well, that is your mistake.

If the example isn't obvious to you, you probably don't look at tick files very often.

I think Bwoinstein is trying, and failing, to impress us so that we buy into his system and hand him $10,000 to join him at Covestor.
