Did you check their website, all the information is there. You can definitely trade spot gold at IB.

XAUUSD is a CFD which is not allowed to be traded in the U.S.
If you're not in the U.S., you can use a forex account that has metals CFDs.

enable metal trading permission, look up USGOLD, it is symbol for spot gold with IB.

actually, you might need to switch to a broker that offers metals trading. Just check out their conditions and make sure it fits what you're looking for.

It's unlikely you can get volume data, only tick volume like in majority of FX brokers. Still it is useful source of information because it's a kind of indicator of market activity

Hi Kroxobor, yes i have been using Tick charts for some time, and do prefer Tick over time charts, i find Tick charts clearer to read.
i have a strategy which i am happy with, the strategy i use, it gives me entry's, Tp, targets but was looking for more confirmation ,(As we all are) as i trade counter trend, with pattern recognition. Have tried using most of the lagging indicators but end up using pattern recognition with fibs.
