I think gold is in the severe coma / deep sleep stage.
When gold is sleeping, don't try to disturb it.

i am no expert but gold is in a strong up trend in 30M....it is recently in a slumber taking rest...

yes it is just a matter of time before it starts moving again....

however it does not like company and you will get big shakeouts before and once it moves ....

knowing the direction of gold is not a problem....but management of the position is and a big one

gold and all markets in a trend do fool traders into thinking the trend is over by giving all trend reversal signals.......

it is about to resume its trend...."but catch me if you can" is what gold is saying to the traders
