X-Trader with no monthly fee! New Transactional Model.

I'm on transactional model and currently paying just a few cents per roundturn more than I paid with Jtrader; so for me it's been a good deal 
nitro is failing to take into consideration the 600-1000 USD per month Xtrader platform cost. yes, ofcourse, if one trades 1000's of contracts a month, its well worth obtaining membership and paying the fee to TT to use Xtrader. however, for us smaller traders, the transactional model is the most economic way to use this superior platform/gateway.

I just have no idea why someone would pay anywhere near that amount of money to lease a piece of software.
I realize that I may be biased since I look at software like theirs and can duplicate it in a weekend, but even then, there are plenty of other software that can do ladders (e.g., IBs).
I suppose if you are doing complex spread trading it may be worth it, but who here is doing that?

if you can recommend another platform that offers immediate execution @ current prices and it is either cheaper or free and as robust as X_T please let me/us know. I would really appreciate it. I've tried PFG Direct, OEC and Tradestation 8, I was not satisfied with any of them in regards to order fill efficiency/accuracy. I am referring to e-mini futures order execution here.

EDIT: I do not trade supersize, around 1080 r/t (ES) per month at the moment, I save by paying $600 p/m licence fee and $3.70 r/t
I have used TT since day one. I was at the Cbot when it rolled out and used it off and on ever since. I also run IB with ZLT and that works ok --but not as fast as TT (nor as stable).
I have used everything from a Globex terminal to the now defunct Yestrader. They all had positives and negatives. TT starts to pay for itself if you are going to lease a seat. Most guys just want to try it without paying 500 a month. That is understandable. It all depends on what you want to do.
FWIW, autospreader comes with a TT pro subscription. I can't imagine trading/scalping spreads without it or something like it (there is competition out there these days but all the other software companies charge just as much when it comes to high end tools).

I have 90% of it already in place. Writting a ladder with colors and tie it to a FIX engine would probably take me a few hours.
But it doesn't answer my question. Outside of autospreading, what does this program do that IBs interface doesn't do for free? You see, what I am getting at is that IBs program is not available for these people in prop firms, so they go with what is available because they have little or no choice.
I should get into the trading software business - it is really uncompetitive...
