When you say stupid things like this it pretty much negates any salient points you may have touched on previously. The idea that republicans as a class of people are racist is absurd. The liberals in P&R who possess functioning brains must cringe when they see posts like this.
You start out posting thoughtful commentary but then you become enraged and your IQ seems to drop about 30 points.
Early gun control efforts were in fact designed to keep blacks unarmed. The NRA paired with a black preacher to attack these laws as I recall.
Of course, Kbong unwittingly revealed what does trouble most liberals. They really aren't that concerned about the lawyer or banker living next to them having guns. I know plenty of rich liberals in the DC area who have loads of weapons they use for hunting.
They just don't want the scary blacks to be able to get their hands on guns. Because of PC, they can't come out and say that, so in typical liberal fashion, they make the rest of us give up our rights.
The concept of actually enforcing the law and clamping down on urban, ie black, gang violence is of course not even on their radar. Why should they care? They have no reason to go into the slums and their little princelings will never go to public school or take a downtown bus.
