Timely thread... My pastor actually answered this question in this past Sunday's sermon. He said Jesus was from a rural area and worked as a carpenter. He thought Jesus would probably drive a pickup or cargo van.

He got on the topic because there is a group of Christians saying it is wrong to drive gas-guzzling SUVs -- poor stewardship of the earth's resources. I agree it is wrong to hunt species to extinction and to pollute rivers and streams for convenience, but I wouldn't go so far as to say SUVs are evil.

Jesus didn' t have any money. He couldn't afford an SUV and the gas to go with it. A 10 yr old honda civic is more like it, if he would drive a car at all, and I think that is doubtfull.
