If it’s the same plant I’m thinking of, the allies sent 30 bombers to destroy it knowing that like 20 wouldn’t come back.
Not sure. I saw the Discovery(i think) version of the story. Damn, couldn't find. Their way back, through the snow, for the whole week ~, was more interesting then the actual mission.
