Japan is stronger militarily than Taiwan. What Taiwan should have been doing all this time is buying as many missiles, rockets and drones as they can. A missile can destroy a warship or a fighter jet and more cost effective than buying older F-16, fighter jets which the Chinese will destroy just because they have numerous fighter jets to attack Drones are very cost effective too as attack weapons as shown in the Ukraine war. Taiwan should start manufacturing missiles and storing them. Ammo runs out faster in a war, as Ukraine is finding out the hard way. If you run out of ammo, you are dead. The other guy will finish you off and there is no way for you to save yourself outside, of outright surrender.

Because Japan and China hate each other----always have. And I don't think it's in the Chinese culture to kill other Chinese.

Im not sure China wants The US to block all oil and food imports to China.It wouldn't take long for their economy to crash and people to starve.
That is what Biden needs to understand and stop being so timid.
A lot of folks think of WW II as being Germany, Italy and Japan, but China was also involved against Japan and lost about 20 million people.

I know.The Japanese were quite brutal and savage against The Chinese while doing it.I know The Chinese wants revenge one day but with The US defending Japan they have they have to think long and hard about the cost of that revenge.If WW3 breaks out and The US is bogged down in other battles I think they might make their move.They wont do it while The US isn't fighting other battles imo.
