Wuhan Tests Nine Million People for Coronavirus in 10 Days

I said the same thing to people I know getting tested. I said you can test negative that day but be positive the day after...
Numbers are probably fake. Like everything else that comes out of China. Tomorrow they'll test 81 billion - more than the population of the world. China numba 1!
The number of people I've been around that got tested and suddenly think they're okay is incredible. If you're tested between day 1 and 7 you'll be under the radar.
I can't wait for mandatory testing to do anything in the country. All for a virus with a lethality that is hard to understate just how overstated it was. It was so dire looking even I ate the bait. Now I've realized the R0 is closer to 0.2-0.4. It's a nothingburger with only marginally higher lethality than the flu. New reports from the CDC show nearly 50% of people infected are asymptomatic.
The media had everyone believing this was the next smallpox and it cost us the economy and possible 5 years of GDP. Whoever said God doesn't have a sense of humor really should go outside and look at all the mask shamers.

Hence if deaths near correct, maybe everyones had it there, maybe then locked down too hard and they've got it bad but keeping it quite, as its a bad flu and not a plague that's fine.
or they're more competent then we are in handling this crisis. Russia's test number are really suspect though.
This I doubt.
I can fall back on China's intense desire to save face during any global event, denial of human rights violations, fabricated economic numbers, disregard for intellectual property laws of alleged allies, and "leader for life" government all as reasons China would lie. The alternative is accepting incompetence and opening themselves up to sanctions. Perhaps they did actually test some fraction of 9 million people. I doubt they'd be honest about infections. I don't think we are being totally honest either but the incompetence of our government lends credence to our numbers (we have probably actually only tested as many as we said).
I also think Russia is suspect. Perhaps less suspect than China strictly because they were very early about shutting down their border and I suspect they don't do as much business with China as the West.
You're letting your Sinophobia cloud your judgement. Did you see how brutally efficient they were in dealing w/Wuhan? Sure they could be pushing a propaganda narrative on testing, but they were the first in developing the test kits, are a proven mass production power house supplying the world w/tests, and doesn't take much to embarrass our admin anyway, so they wouldn't even have to lie.
