Quote from Clubber Lang:
They attack like pack animals.
Question- If that kid was attacked by 15 men and used his licensed handgun to defend himself, would that be self defense? Or would the animals attacking him be the victims?
I've seen NUMEROUS situations where a person was fully justified to shoot when facing multiple assailants. If 15 thugs attack me, I'm going to acquire a quick sight picture of the closest assailant, and shoot until the attackers have stopped attacking me.
In addition, I recall a very short, skinny guy being attacked by a guy who was like 6'4" and he felt that if he hadn't shot, he would have been maimed, paralyzed, and quite possibly killed. The Prosecuting Attorney would not bring charges, and I agree with the Prosecutor for not doing so.
If a person has to resort to shooting someone, they need to prove that they were in reasonable fear that they were going to be killed, or basically made into a vegetable due to the attack. Cases like these have been argued in courts before, and it really comes down to the totality of the circumstances.
There are ZERO rules that say a person has to be armed before you can shoot to stop. It's akin to the argument that in a street fight scenario you have to take a punch before you can throw one. Not even close! You get into a confrontation, and you see the bad guy start to ball his fists, you have every right to draw first blood.
Last, where do these little scumbags come from? Attacking people for no reason... bus beatings... I don't think Mommy or Daddy busted their asses when they were young, and needed it! Unreal!
