WTF happened to the block function?

Oh yah, smallfil was the first person to put me on ignore on this forum I believe. Only reason I see this thread pop-up is because @MarkBrown reformed and realized I was not that bad of a dude, and he recently posted to it and @ me. Hehe.

And that deserves groove, man.

Someone get smallfil to clear his ignore list, and start over!!!!

you are smarter for not reading mark browns and smallfils posts.

That is a mis-statement. I have more opinions available to me after Markbrown unignored me, but smallfil still has me on ignore.

I read everything I can, and decide what to listen to or not.

At least I have a choice when I am not ignored, to read the opines of those folks.

Some opinions are destructive.

Some opinions are destructive.

Perhaps, but at least without being ignored, I have the CHOICE to decide for myself which opines are "destructive" or not. Having a choice is always better than not having a choice.

It really sux when people get into a spat that runs deep enough that one of the parties involved in the spat has to take the drastic step of ignoring another.

Who is the loser in that case? The "ignorer", or the "ignoree"?

I say, they both lose. And that is my opinion. Think about it, and listen to above-referenced soundtrack while thinking.

then visit the site in private or incognito mode, read his posts and watch your IQ drop.

no. But when you cavort with fools, you become more foolish.
Same with tennis, if you are A and play with someone who is a C, your game suffers badly. They literally pull your game straight to hell. If they are Open level, you pull their game down because they’re not expecting much from you. Trading with idiots has costed me a lot, wobbly or crazy hands are contagious :)

Reading a person's posts that one does not agree with does not make one's IQ drop. Oy!

Here's a perfect example!

Let me ask you this, do you feel that interacting with people who are smarter than you in a particular field or area increases your intelligence, gives you inspiration, triggers new ideas, and in general has a positive effect on you? That's certainly what happens for me.

Why wouldn't the opposite also be true when interacting with trolls or those on the left side of the Dunning Kruger curve?
