WTF, closing out options now charges commissions?

HI guys,

can anyone confirm, As I never look at my commissions charges.. for as long as I knew, any options being "bought to close" at .1 cent was always never charged commissions.. and I just looked at a trade and noticed I'm now being charged "regular" commissions to close out short options positions!!! ???

I'm upset right now as that's costing me another 1k a week they are getting from me....

Which broker is this? I know that some brokers do offer to waive commissions for closing of short option positions below a certain price level but not all brokers.

This is in Interactive Brokers forum.
I don’t think they distinguish any trades “to close”, so we pay per trade. I don’t recall ever not paying commissions, though occasionally they can be negative/credit.
