The only issue I see with buying Greenland at a fair price, is whether or not the people would want their homeland to become part of the U.S. or not. I couldn't support it if the people didn't want it. One big problem is the subsidies. The natives wouldn't like getting shafted out of their entitlements, and sooner or later they would probably get trimmed.

I have been to Greenland. Beautiful country. I was in Thule, in the summer. Awesome. I wouldn't want to spend a minute there, in winter, though.

I hear ya. But the entire population of greenland is only 58,000 and not all are natives.

Thats about what the US gets for illegals per week, who end out on the public tit sooner or later so we could afford to make some "strategic investments."

And of course border protection up that way is a bit easier, eh? I don't think that Trump would be planning on building a wall around the entire island. But I don't know. Maybe Mexico would be paying for it. :cool:
