I have 2 college good friends who dislike Singapore and China because of what they heard from the western media .. so they think Singapore like a Communist country. They think China is communist must be so terrible etc.

Few years ago, they finally came to visit me in China and Singapore, they fell in love with China for the very first trip, ( I brought them to visit Shanghai, Suzhou, Beijing and Xi'an ) Since then every year they come to China to travel with me during holiday.. our next trip is Mogao Gaves, Dunhuang, Gobi desert. One of them is learning mandarin/chinese even thinking of moving to China. They like Singapore too but it's expensive they said.
