WSJ: North Korea Threatens to Call Off Summit, Calls Pence a ‘Political Dummy’

To be precise it’s a military challenge coin. Which you know nothing about.
How would he know?
He’s certainly not an American with zero American interests.
He just wants to rail on her politics from a safe space borders away...

I’m sure that the military made custom challenge coins in advance for President Obama’s cancelled 2013 Asia trip.

I do know that challenge coins are celebratory in nature - and considering the summit hasn't happened yet, what is being celebrated other than blatant public fellatio to coax Kim into a one on one for a political 'win'

Challenge coins are not diplomatic commemorative coins. They have a more personal use, given to service members by their units etc. At least that is my own understanding.

They are not celebratory in nature. Again, you’re out of your depth on this one.

They can be celebrating a specific event in a military unit's history.

And you are out of your depth. The Trump/Kim is a diplomatic coin.

And believe me if I am wrong @Poindexter will tell us.

Again, who cares if I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of challenge coins. If the coins aren't celebratory in nature - why exactly they were issued? What is the point?

They are kind of celebratory. My two are Vietnam era coins given to me by a guy I helped get into a hospice in Thailand where he wanted to die.

I kind of like the idea of slapping a .50 cal on the bar though :)

Obama made over 50 foreign visits during his Presidency. As Commander-in-Chief he was provided with custom challenge coins with unique designs specifically tailored to identify each of these visits. He would have given them to Military Commanders greeting him during the course of the visit.

So, for example, in July 2009 when President Obama visited Russia - I’m certain that the Pentagon had custom Russia/US July 2009 challenge coins made up exclusively for him as Commander-in-Chief IN ADVANCE to exchange with top US and (maybe?) NATO military officers that greeted him during his trip.
