Thanks for taking notice. I also did a 'complain', although I think those bans are what this lowlife lives on. I agree on the 'ignore' attitude in general, but this was too agressive. I'd even suggest finding a way to ban IP's, since he will come back of course.

I support Damon's request to clean up the thread: there is a lot of value in it and it would be a shame if potential readers are put off by the assholing at the end of it.

Executive summary : Socrates/Bulldozer/CYOF started a "we're posting real trades" thread where all trades were written puts.

Everyone else comes in with "yes but what about the margin?" comments which were never replied to.

Trades go well for three or four weeks and guess what?

Market tanks out big time.

Margin shoots to a (ballpark) £500,000 - £750,000.

The end-game was that Socrates stated he'd closed all short positions out the day before the crash.

However, a quick look on the bloomberg screens and next days options listings from the exchange prooved otherwise.

Bottom line, I believe the trades were opened, it is a fact they were not closed the day before the crash, I've no idea if Socrates was able to put up the margin.

A little Spider tells me that Bull/CYOF/Socrates also run www.citybulls.com where you'll be charged £400 to be told the difference between american & european style options.

Thanks for the info dashing blade. It seems like you know what you are talking about. I have read the link you provided along with some other threads and this rude cyof person did make some good points though. Do you know what this post 411 is all about and why mr profitaker did not answer it as it was put to him many times. I also went and looked at this citybulls site and i don't see any thing anywheer about £400, can you please explain what you are talking about and what a spider means? Thanks for your help.

Good work chiguy for there are some of us that want to learn how to make money trading options. After reading the link provided by dashing blade I see that we have a member here called Profitaker. Is he the same Profitaker that is mentioned on T2W. If he is maybe we can start to ask him some questions as he and dashing blade seem to know a lot about options when you read what they have both wrote on T2W?

Can someone please help me in the selection of the best option to trade for the coffee market. With all the recent hype about commodities and China I was thinking that commodity options may be a better bet than stocks. Stocks can be very erratic and as this effects the volatility which in turns effects the option premium price I feel safer trading commodities. Any help and guidance will be great as I see we have some real good traders here. I am not worried about the money as I have plenty of it. I want to see what is the best way to do it so don't be worried if you give me some wrong advice as I am well covered.Cheers.

It seems I may have been wrong about you dashing blade but in light of the circumstances with the recent posts I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I am a new member like any new member and I am entitled to post on Elite the same as any other trader. If you apologise to me now I will not report you to the mods, but if you do not and insult me again then I will have to report you. This is a fair warning.
