Would working at institutes enforce your discipline?

I want to ask those who are working at some institutes a question.
Does working under someone would enforce your discipline? Do they sometimes force you to cut loss or take profit? Do they force you to follow the systems?

It would in a sense, because it forces you to trade in a mechanical fashion, but it would also take your own money to really learn how it feels to be playing with fire. ---> you can get burn ..... Is not until then, that you will learn how to treasure your trades.
