Actually they were not told anything but that using the deceptive cherry-picked time period of 16 years is a sham and misleading and so should not be used.

take any 5 year average of temps for the last decade and will not find any warming.

There has been no warming yet co2 has doubled in the last 16 years.

So how could man made co2 be forcing temps.
