Hard look? I don't believe I do. However, I believe in the Constitution and the principles of the Founders. For the last 100 years America has been morphing towards our version of Communism, and it makes me sick.

My parents died when I was young. I then lived with aunts and uncles who considered the obligation to feed and clothe me to be a financial burden.

Getting kicked out didn't bother me all that much. My grandfather had life's common sense. He always told me, "The world doesn't owe you a living. Make something of yourself." That's how it really was for all in this country since the beginning of America and up until the Progressive cancer got started by greedy politicians. And now, we're there. Progressive, Communist, Liberal, Socialist... whatever label.... The DemoCraps long ago adopted the agenda and now have critical mass in the voting populace.

World financial history is full of this same story. The Founders tried to make sure it couldn't happen here with our 3 branches of government, each with limited powers... "Checks and Balances". But these principles were gradually eroded by greedy politicians' lust for power. And here we are today.

Please stop posting your retarded religious views. This isn't the politics and religion section.

Those 3.5 billion enable the 85 to have those lifestyles.

I support very high inheritance taxes. There's absolutely no reason for kids of the superwealthy to be born into billions and have no idea how to build something from scratch. Say a 40-50% tax on all assets. Enforcing it is completely different issue.
The government is extremely poor at making wise investment decisions but you have to admit that they're the perfect lavish spenders of (other people's) money.
I support abolishing government intervention in the economy/schools etc.

In fact the dices are pipped in western countries :
most people are not taught how to get rich, so those who are
taught , explained, showed have a zero competition - or at least very reduced competition.
Those who follow the central planners blindly?
The best thing the US could do is to finance and expand "elite" primary. secondary and universities. I am not talking about increasing finances
of the failing schools as the majority of US schools are.
Increase 100 folds the competition, by significantly increasing the number of very well educated people.
Why not give the federal reserve/banks and other business protected by licenses etc, som competition instead?

Do not know about outside the US but inside most of the poor do not know how to save from little earnings they make. You don't save means you don't invest and rest is easy to figure out.

Only leftist item I would offer is 'free healthcare' for all and that means all, does not matter how much is the annual earnings or networth. A healthy country is a prosperous country and it has been proven across the globe.

:):D:cool:
You're refering to the deficits? And nothing is free!

You are borderline retarded. People like Scrotumphagotos don't contribute a thing to society.

Never leeched off others a day in his life? Confirmed retard. He leeched off his mother's titty for the first 18 years of his life. You seem to enjoy leeching off his dick.
What does that have to do with government intervention/redistribution?

+1

Teach a man to fish.

Stop giving the lazy free handouts and they will learn to work for themselves very quickly if they want to eat!

If there is a legitimate reason why someone cannot work or take care of themselves, then by all means give him government aid. But the system has gotten so large that many more people abuse the system than actually need the system.
And there are those who need the needy(for job security/power trips etc.).

This is not possible.

Watts once asked psychology (I think) students if money was not a barrier, what would they like to do in life. He got a bunch of different answers from teacher, writer, musician...and when he asked them why are they studying psychology then, they replied because we can't make any money doing what we want. So that's the answer to your question. We are not happy-oriented as a society but a production-oriented. Robots with clear instructions set in mind, birth->get a job->buy house->have children->die->repeat. There's no "what do you WANT to do" discussion, it's "do THIS because you can make a lot of money" instruction.
So people enjoy gathering food, people enjoy building shelter etc?
No wonder majority of people hate their jobs. So to forbid people from doing something they hate because of money is the same as limit the income I suggested earlier. It doesn't comply with the laws of capitalism.

Crony capitalism? More like corporatism.

@Scataphagos: I hope for the sake of intelligence that you understand that rich people can't have money without "poor" people. Money doesn't fall into your bank account, someone has to do the job and it's the majority of those you believe should never be born that fill the pockets of the wealthy.
If someone doesn't produce much, they can be described as poor. If someone else produces alot more, they can be described as rich. But that doesn't mean that the latter has taken anything from the former. Government intervention/redistribution(to the rich even) on the other hand, is an example of redistribution(someone becoming rich/poor).
