Worldco - A New Way Of Doing Things?

Quote from Don Bright:

Again, whenever Walter and the boys at Worldco would like to come onto the board and discuss this, rather than have one of their "traders" I'd be glad to oblige.

(Not blown away, not now, not ever). It's just that we cater to the more serious traders, and those who want to run a business, not have a job)....Just a different business model.

Until we can actually get some serious representation like we have from other firms (Echo=Chet Robinson, Assent = B.P. from VegasGeneric= David from ProActive, John from Redwood, Vito from Van Buren, etc., it makes little sense to discuss the current rates, markets, or anything else with the disgruntled minority.

In all seriousness, Echo, Generic, and Assent, all have ET members who actually know what's going on in the business.....and it might be nice to have a chat/conference where we can discuss, debate, whatever in a civilized manner.

I'll use my advertising money to cover the ET time and costs. But it is just plain silly to discuss serious business with those who are clueless about the inner workings of the trading business. This is not a put down, and I welcome open discussions, but meaningless mis-information does no one any good.

Chet? Vito? B.P.? David? John? am I wrong here?? Let's have a chat, perhaps we can bring the level of discussion up a notch or two.

Don (I'll put on my flak jacket now)..

Sorry if I missed the sarcasm....(I'm such a big target, and so many arrows to dodge) :D

Let's read into this statement by Don.

Newbies, you will be shelling out alot of cash on desk fees and higher commissions to learn the business.

SUPPLY YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT for analysis and charting. (Unless you want to share)

Cater??? Unless you do volume, don't ask.

Serious? I think everyone in this business is serious. What is more serious? Traders who have already "done the time" and know how to trade profitably are "more serious" I suppose.

... run a business... That means willing to take losses.

Quote from Chris Watts:

Don is mistaken. Worlco does offer full 100% payout if you have cap (just like your company, Don). And the ones who are fully capped, get 100% payout, have commission rates that blow Bright's out of the water due to their self clearing business.

Most people who complain about the lower percentage payouts are the ones Worldco let in with little or no cap at all....Which to me, sounds like someone's giving people chances and not closing the door on them... Also, Worldco doesn't charge hidden desk fees or charge their own traders extra for training (ridiculous!)....characteristic of a retail firm, not a professional prop firm.

Just clearing some things up. Seems like some people don't know much but talk as if they do.

Thanks Chris for painting a beautiful picture about whats goin on over there.

Don't ya hate the fact that youve been putting these guys on a pedestal, and now they are bending everyone over.....
You should be ashamed of yourself.

umm...no, cos i probably made more than you and your father combined lifetime while trading at worldco. for me, losing a couple thousand in retained capital is not a big deal. do you see me bitching? go troll somewhere else.

What do you want to know about it? It's silver and convertible. Sure beats that 89 camry you and your pop are sharing, right?

Who cares how much dough youve made.

Tell us all about youre Porsche.

Chris Watts- did you get that term out of one of your college textbooks?

You are soooooo smart.

Can u teach me how to trade.?

Thanx

Sure.

In order to make money, sell high and buy low. Not the other way around. Got it? I know it's a tough concept to comprehend with that pebble of a skull, but give it a try.
