Ukraine is transparently trying to foment an incident with Russia to suck the West, ie the US, into a mess of its own creation. Ukraine sent war ships into a Russian security zone outside Crimea. Poke the bear and he might rip your arm off. Not our concern.

Russia is not trying to draw the US into conflicts. That would be Ukraine. They created their problem, let them deal with it.
