Work until you die?

A snippet of a conversation overheard in the hallway at work:

"I figure I'll just have to work until I die."
"Yup, that's what our generation has to deal with."

I chuckled inwardly, thinking to myself, "Fuck, no! I'll be trading full time in 5 years."

I know that getting to the point of supporting yourself trading is *very* hard.
But the thought of being some wrinkly, white-haired old geezer working alongside gum-cracking eye-rollers is too much.

so what exactly will you be doing?

" I chuckled inwardly, thinking to myself, "Fuck, no! I'll be trading full time in 5 years."

What a contradiction.

ROFL.......

I know.

In the context of the overheard snippet, "work" meant "employment".

The transition to trading is a career change, not retirement.

If I come across as one arrogant mo-fo, you're right.

it's ot arrogant but I can't see how day trading until you die is not the same(even worse) than having ajob until you die....

For me day trading is not enjoyable. I make money but I do not like it. When I get my account to greater then $500,000 I am out of this game and into something more enjoyable.

"I figure I'll just have to work until I die."

Moral of the story. Do what you love, it won't seem like work.

OR

Do what you love and then find a way to get paid for it.

$500k... that's it? You can live off that?

Maybe you need to add another zero or two to that...

:D

Depends on your "lifestyle requirements". You could prolly live a comfy work-free life in a double-wide somewhere in the sticks.
