I just read through some of the posts. Apparently, more moderators from the post "purge" period have been liquidated and their contributions removed. Also, there seems to be a lot of fees involved in some of the rooms now. Then there were the following comments on the site regarding brokerage solicitations...

I was in that room for over 7 months and couldn't figure everything out. That is the document that explained it all to me in detail. Does woodie just want PFG cash-back deals? That new document is very limited and not all that usefull.

Thank you for proving my point.

I would suggest that you see if you can become a winning trader rather than typing up rumors ala one of the market rags that has the latest news on Paris Hilton's two headed baby. LOL

PFG NEVER solicited me after I recieved the document. I have accounts at both IB and Trade Station. You can, also, get the document directly from the web site without any PFG at all.

There is no Woodies room that charges a fee.

Many of the moderators were and are losing traders, thus they moved on. Pretty simple.

Good luck to you. I really do hope that one day you find a successful trading strategy or move on to a new career. The sad fact is, trading is not for everyone. Some need to accept that and move on.

My last post on the subject as it's just become another silly topic by losing traders.

For those of you that read this and want to become a profitable trader....yes, Woodies patterns do work...will everyone trade them profitably...nope...that's up to you and your own discipline.
 
I am very thankful to woodie.

I studied the original cci document and starting experimenting with cci. I never entered a room.

After two years I use cci in my own way. I have my own method and I use cci only as an entry timing tool. It is the best entry timing tool for me, at the moment.

I don't really know who is woodie and what exactly he does, but I was able to take out the good from his method and use it.

I only look at the basic cci patterns for timing the entries. All the others "features" of woodies cci aren't really needed if you can say if the market is trending or not.

Well thank god it's your last post. :D

You've adequately demonstrated your dog like adherence to the cult of woodie. Try back on this thread in a year or so and let us know how it's going for your with Woodie's methods or if you are one of those "losing" traders you so decry. Better yet, go ahead and post your trades in realtime in the ET chat room for a week or two to prove me wrong and I'll happily apologize to you on this thread.

No offense, but if you'd bothered to check my handle you'd see that I've been on ET for 5 years now -- a long time to just shoot the breeze if you don't see my point. The fact that I take personal offense at Woodie as a snake oil salesman and try to steer others away is really unrelated to my own trading strategy, style, or success.

I'll just add that I know some of the moderators that got booted and they are successful traders in their own right using their own variants of CCI that seem to work for them. Finally, the fact that you have to give your phone number and email to get this "free" document can't be just coincidence can it? :p

Good trading to you regardless of what approach you use.

lol, I never realized there was so much rancor over a feeble old man. I shook his hand once and thought it would come off.


Not sure what all the bedlam is about, but anyone that claims to be a master of the CCI should be taking huge money out of the market and not running junkets. Even if he's too feeble to trade himself he can hire one of his bashers.

If you hang out in his free trading room, you will hear him talking about eating .99 cent breakfast buffet's. Either he is VERY cheap or he loses his money trading and has no money to eat good food. Another words, his system is not profitable. You decide.
 
I used to be in that room several years ago so I don't know what it is like now, but I assume it is worse than before.

1) Even the "stars" in the room were only breakeven at best. I know this from several IM chats I had with several them. One of them couldn't go to a conference because he couldn't afford airfare. Another that woodie was always talking about admitted that he was barely breakeven on a good month.

2) None of the moderators were ever profitable trading the CCI.

3) Sport - the tradersparadise blog guy - he gets his money from his wife. He doesn't make money trading. I was VERY disappointed to learn about that...

4) CCI (or any other indicator) combined with price bars can get you into some nice trades. The problem is the exit. When do you hold and when do you fold? If it were not an intuitive pursuit don't you think all the hedge funds and investment banks would be all over the CCI? They aren't because it cannot be quantified.

Good luck to anyone who thinks they will make money in the markets by following a formula or a trading room...
 
Woodies CCI efs download has been one of the most active on the eSignal website for as long as i can remember. From all those 10s of thousands of downloads from eSignal, he only can hold onto a couple of hundred traders in his current room( i admit i popped in to have a look, shame on me). Thats not to mention how many traders using other platforms have used his CCI.


I hate to admit, i also started using his CCI in the beginning, but the one timeframe method and not looking at prices is an absolute sham. Any moderator who tries to teach new concepts is soon banished.


Anyone using CCI has to ask themselves - What is CCI(commodity channel index) ? Its simply a way of telling when prices move from one price channel to another. If you look at prices you can put your orders in ahead of the pattern appearing. Remember PRICE makes the PATTERN. Woddie tries to tell you its the other way round.
