woman traders

The market doesnt care if you are male or female, white or black, Asian or Puerto Rican. It doesnt care if you are from Planet Earth or Planet Venus. It doesnt care if you are an Ape or a Black Bear. Price is going to move the same way regardless of who or what you might be.

Trading isnt some mindless arbitrary job where performance is subjective. Its a job where returns are everything. If you can obtain those returns then it doesnt matter who or what you are. You could be a "Black Box" and as long as the returns come back good then thats all that matters.

Im certain that Goldman Sucks doesnt care who you are either. They just care if you can make money for them. If you cant then you get shown the door. If you have a pussy, a dick, both or three dicks, they dont care. They will give you a corner office if you can make bank for them.

Quote from blowingup2012:

The reason why women dont trade is because they are smart. They have other ways to make money or scam it from someone else.

Women make on avg 16% less than men, so less money to play with.

do these women wants to begin their career as a small trader? They have other ways to make money than being a small trader (loser)

They are HIGHER EDUCATED corporate women.

Quote from Lights:

For the same reason there are more men in drug rehabs and stripclubs. Men are drawn more to high risk activities. There are exceptions such as Lindsay Lohan.
The women are on the runway at the stripclubs!

I remember some studies showing that more men overestimated their ability to trade, leading them to think that it was less risky than it actually is, whereas women had a more realistic assessment of their abilities and avoided trading as a consequence.

Everything in life is driven by biology and chemistry, so, ultimately, it's probably down to the differences in neurochemistry and sex hormones. They've even shown that you can tell a lot about a man's risk-taking propensities by measuring the ratio of his ring to index fingers, which varies according to the amount of testosterone to which he was exposed in the womb. Men who trade successfully have a more "masculine" ratio than the unsuccessful.

There is probably some wiggle room, but it would appear that great traders are as much born as they are made and more of them are born men than women.
